Blues, Canoes, and Barbecue

By rita
Stephanie and friends, Shar, Kim, and Justin stayed in our guesthouse a couple of week-ends ago. Little did we know, they would become some of our favorite clients. They had canoed the Buffalo in the past and were anxious to give the White a try. We put them in at Cotter boat ramp, eight miles upriver, Sunday morning about 10:00. They spent a delightful day fishing, picnicking, and swimming in Crooked Creek before they arrived back at our campground about 5:00. They were starving, even though Kim admitted they'd done nothing but eat all day. I explained that's the way it is with river adventures. They make you ravenous!
