Fall Foliage Update For Mountain Home, Norfork Lake and Northern Arkansas By Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental

By BlackBurns Resort
The fall foliage is not coming along as usual. We have had highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's with lots of sunshine and despite the shorter days the change is slow. It is to cool with highs in the high 60's starting Tuesday which will help. My big maple tree is usually a brilliant red but is now just dropping brown leaves. My indicator bush, shown above, is about half red. I talked to experts in fall foliage and they said the first week of November could be peak and the peak may not be as brilliant as in years past. We will see. It is still beautiful here with colorfull roadsides and some on the lake shores and hillsides.  Just do not want you to expect too much now. Check out www.blackburnsresort.com and click on Scuba Steve's Blog for details. You are welcome here and we will not charge you too much.
