Buffalo National River

Preserved forever, the crystal clear waters of the Buffalo National Riverflow past striking, towering limestone bluffs. America's first National River, the magnificent Buffalo River stretches over 150 miles through forested hills and mountain cliffs. From its source in the rugged Boston Mountains range of the Ozarks, the Buffalo National River descends nearly 2,000 feet creating magnificent cliffs and mountain. Nearly 95,000 acres of protected public land along its route, the Buffalo River in Arkansas is home to a variety of wildlife.  

Hiking the trails and horseback riding are excellent ways to experience the Ozarks and the  Buffalo river, but canoeing is a MUST !
