The winter has been mild and the surface temperature is over 46 degrees the lake level is 552+ and the lake in general is in good condition.  You can fish where you are close to resorts, dining and shopping and still not have high boat traffic.  Norfork is known for it's trophy stripers and hybrids but has walleye, crappie, catfish and bluegill.

You do not have to wait for April at Ice out or until June to go to Canada.  Get out of the house and visit Norfork Lake.  Only 4-hrs away from St. Louis and 8-hrs from Chicago you can go to a different world.  No closed seasons and you cannot walk on our water. Blackburns rental boats are ready and at a good price.

This spring rains might have brought much stress and high water to the Ozark Mountain Region, but it also brought beauty to the woods and new food sources to the waters. During the periods of higher water elevation, the trout of the white river gorged themselves with worms washed out from the river banks and fish that came over or through the spillways at Bull Shoals Dam.
