Probably the most memorable event that you can plan in the Ozarks will be a day with one of our area's fishing guides.  Of course the fish that you catch will be part of the experience, but most people never forget their guide's name.  The Ozarks has always been famous for the personalities of our local people.

This spring rains might have brought much stress and high water to the Ozark Mountain Region, but it also brought beauty to the woods and new food sources to the waters. During the periods of higher water elevation, the trout of the white river gorged themselves with worms washed out from the river banks and fish that came over or through the spillways at Bull Shoals Dam.

Christmas is to children, like The Catch and Release Area below Bull Shoals Dam is to the White River Trout Fisherman. The trophy trout have been able to feed, breed, and grow without any negative pressure from an outside source. Many of the Brown Trout have been spawning over the past two months and are now hungry.
