Norfork Lake Arkansas Fishing Out of Blackburns Resort Near Mountain Home.
The winter has been mild and the surface temperature is over 46 degrees the lake level is 552+ and the lake in general is in good condition. You can fish where you are close to resorts, dining and shopping and still not have high boat traffic. Norfork is known for it's trophy stripers and hybrids but has walleye, crappie, catfish and bluegill. Bass are not stocked but there is a healthy population. We cannot compete for size with Florida and Texas and have a different strain. Norfork has three different strains of crappie. Black, white and black nosed. The black nosed have a vertical line on the front of their head. Black and black nosed do very good here and there are not as many whites. The trophy ones I catch are mostly whites. Check out www.blackburnsresort.com for a complete website about the area.
