White River fishing this spring
The white river should produce some very nice chunky rainbows this spring. The lake level raised to 26 feet above normal by this fall and the corp has been generating a tremendous amount of water to lower the lake level. They did this in the winter of 2008 and we had some nice fat rainbows in the spring of 2009 due to all the high water and excess food in the river.
Right now fishing by boat would be the only way to go but even then it would be tough with the current they way it is. The corp should have us down to normal lake level by the end of Jan. and then slow up generation. Feb. and March would be a good time to plan a trip and hoping the weather will be milder. But the weather has been wild every where this last year.
