Triple Trout Triumphs

Last weekend Jon Mark and his son Patrick from Germantown, Tennessee along with Jon's brother, Tim, from Fayetteville stayed in our guesthouse. When Jon Mark secured reservations, he said,” we've stayed in a lot of places and we're looking for a “home” ... somewhere we can keep coming back to year after year.”

On the second day they fished from their boat in our part of the river, they hit paydirt: 5 repeat passes through a particular stretch of the river and 5 triples. Patrick's words describe the trip better than mine:
“I wanted to tell you how you have one of the nicest places we've stayed in and definitely one of the best parts of the White River. The lack of houses and docks lining every inch of the river, as you see further up the river, was very refreshing. We have fished many parts of the river from the dam to the lower parts and have never had the consistently great fishing as we had near the Ranchette part of the river. On the morning that we had the 5 triples in a row, we were fishing with nightcrawlers and powerbait. Thank you again for having us.

And from Jon Mark:Thanks again for your warm hospitality. You have a beautiful place, but the owners are what make it special! Hope to see you again soon, maybe in the fall.

Letters and success stories like these are what keep us going. Remember that old Bo Weevil song that repeated “lookin' for a home?” I believe they've found one.

Blessings,
