Welcome to the Lower Buffalo River Association!

The Buffalo National River is the jewel of the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. It is located only in Arkansas and was the first river whose entire length was designated as a National River in the United States. The Buffalo National River is more than 150 miles long and flows through four counties in the state before joining the White River in Marion County.

The Lower Buffalo National River Association is comprised of businesses located near Yellville, Arkansas, the county seat of Marion County and the Buffalo National River, which are located 17 miles from each other on Scenic Highway 14. Our members are all allocated within this corridor or close to it. We offer many lodging choices, fishing services, camping sites, restaurants, float services, and hiking information.

The Buffalo National River is the most popular vacation destination for those who enjoy camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, hiking or simply relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the peaceful, un-rushed environment of the area. it is truly a wildlife mecca abounding in wild turkeys, deer, beautiful wildflowers, scenic vistas, beautiful forests, colorful birds, and other flora and fauna not readily available to those who live in other parts of the United States.
