The White River Inn is definitely the flagship of lodges on the White River. This magnificent log lodge was built on 32 treed acres with a magnificent view of the White River and The White River Valley. Set firmly on a 300 foot bluff directly above the river, eagles and other raptors glide by at eye level every day. The grounds are full of deer, foxes, squirrels, raccoons, and a plethora of birds including dozens of hummingbirds throughout the spring and summer. Flying squirrels can be observed regularly at night!
The lodge provides a luxurious atmosphere with wonderful private rooms and all the amenities you would expect in a five-star lodge. Large comfortable common areas with flat screens, oversized leather sofas and ottomans, and wall to wall windows offer a great place to relax. All five suites are furnished with custom made mission style furnishings. The king and queen size beds are appointed with soft 600 thread count linens and Pendelton bed covers. Oversized leather chairs and sofas round out the furnishings along with very large bathrooms. All bathrooms have heavy glass showers with jetted heads and most have comfortable jacuzzi tubs.
All meals at the lodge are served family-style and include full, hot, hearty breakfasts and dinners to die for. Appropriate wines and beer are served with dinner. Of course, special diet requests can be taken care of with advance notice. Here at the lodge we take great pride in serving the freshest garden vegetables and salads and the best cuts of beef available. Homemade desserts are a specialty and are always eagerly anticipated by our guests.
The White River is rightfully rated one of the top five trout fisheries in the United States, and is debatably the best brown trout fishery in the world!! Several brown trout topping 25 pounds are landed yearly. This world-class fishing, coupled with our world-class guides are the reason anglers from all over the country travel to the White River.
